What are Matches and Match Play's?
Matches and Match Play events are a great for recreational players looking to compete in singles and doubles. Our events have set start and end times so you know how long you will be at the event and are able to plan your day.
During the events players will have the opportunity to take part in our skills changes and they will also have the chance to act as umpires and ball kids.

What is a Saber Racket?
The Saber has been developed by Functional Tennis and the racket head size is the same size as your tennis rackets sweet spot! You can generate the same spin as you would with your regular racket and it you can play with it for hours. For more information on the racket please click here.
The Saber Arena is open to adults as well.
What is a Nd Festival?
Community Series: for neurodivergent individuals who have a basic tennis ability level and can rally.
These festivals are not focused on winning and losing, instead they are focused on playing tennis in a positive and social environment.
The umbrella term of neurodiversity includes people with specific diagnoses that are considered developmental disorders and intellectual disabilities. These include but are not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Tourette's, dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia (DCD).
How do players get involved?
Scroll back up the page to see what events are upcoming and what future events we have planned. We suggest they play in the ball colour they train on, however if their age allows them to compete in other colours then they are welcome to.
Entries are taken on a first come first served basis and if an event is full please do make sure you have joined the waiting list. By entering any type of event you and the player/s are accepting all of our terms and abide by our code of practice.

Will there be umpires?
Yes, we have umpires for the Red and Orange events to help them keep score + call lines. For the Green and Yellow Match Plays the event supervisors are able to help out with umpiring and educate players on how to score. There will be umpires and supervisors on site to help with the Nd Festivals.
Fair play is a key element of the Play Series and players will help umpire each others matches as well.
Are spectators allowed at the events?
Yes, spectators are more than welcome to stay and support the players from off court or from the field. We may invite spectators onto court at the end of the event for photo opportunities of your player/s.
It is important to remember that spectators are there to support players only, this includes cheering all players and being a positive role model. Any spectators causing any form of disruption or being negative will be asked to leave immediately and only allowed back at the end.

The club is on the recreation ground at the bottom of the field. Please follow the path by the green metal gate down to the club.

What do we need to bring?
Players are required to bring their own tennis racket, a full drinks bottle and be dressed for the weather! Any spectators should also bring their own water/coffee/tea and be dressed for the weather.
We highly recommend during warmer weather you are sun safe with hats and sun cream, where as in the colder weather it is warm clothes and coats. This applies to all players, spectators and umpires.
